[The Tiger of Kai]

So I just watched the new trailer for the dub of Sengoku Basara.

I found the advertisement not only as cheesey as the English version of the video game, but the voices are absolutely atrocious. If you watched the Japanese version before the English version, you will realize that the English voices do these characters absolutely no justice.

I'm very disappointed in FUNimation not only for a terrible cast list, but terribly sloppy voice work as well.

Maybe it's too quick to judge, but I'm used to the Japanese voices from episode 1 to episode 12.

Blah, what the heck Funimation? Oh well, from experience English dubs generally are pretty laughable anyway so I can imagine what they'll be like, especially what with the guy who voices Ichigo from Bleach being part of the cast.
I don't watch a lot of anime, and at one point English dubs never used to bother me, but recently i've found them to be quite embarrassing and hard to take anything seriously, so I do go for watching in Japanese if I can't take it (though badly translated subtitles can be just as bad sometimes, can't win XP; ).

But yeah, is a shame they made such little effort with the English cast, but it might be better in the anime itself in comparison to the trailer. If not, then the Japanese version is still there to lean back on.
