About Me
Hiya! I'm YOSHIGIRL, one of the long term residents (since 13th February 2004) and administrators here at YLF.
Heres a little bit about myself, as a person. My real name is Penelope (but EVERYONE calls me Penny), I'm 19 years old, born on the 17th of June 1990. I live in Middlesbrough in the north-east of England. I've been a fan of video games since I was very young, and was first introduced to Nintendo when we got the SNES + Street Fighter II bundle pack back in around 1994/5. I then came across my number one hero Mario, and of course Yoshi, when we got Super Mario World, which still remains my most favorite game of all time to this very day.
As well as Mario and related games, I'm also a big fan of other game series' such as The Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Castlevania, Starfox, Phoenix Wright, Monkey Island, Golden Sun and oodles more. As you may have deduced from that list, my favorite gaming genres mostly consist of platformers, RPGs and point & click adventure games.
My goal in life is to become a concept artist or animator for preferably a video game company. Obviously I love to draw and create things, and I particularly enjoy making my own characters and stories for them. I hope to one day bring these ideas to life to entertain others as much as they entertain me while creating them.
